This award recognises QHotels' commitment to recognising and developing future talent within the business, through the many training and development opportunities that are offered.
Our entry was based on all of the hard work that the team undertakes in driving apprenticeships and engaging with educational institutions to drive young talent into the business.
We achieved a HR Distinction Award in the Developing Future Talent Category, recognising QHotels’ commitment to ‘Growing Our Own’. In 2016, 37% of our Management Positions were filled internally, highlighting the company’s dedication to training and development.
We are delighted to have achieved a place in the Top 30 Hospitality Employers and importantly see this as a direct result of our training & development, as well as our commitment to Employee Recognition at all levels. Our training begins with Apprenticeships and moves to our own QED programmes, covering 5 tiers of progression from Graduates up to Senior Management.
In 2016 we were honoured to receive three awards at the Springboard Awards for Excellence. We received ‘Best Recruitment Initiative’ for our ‘Get Into Q’ campaign, aimed at promoting the hospitality industry as an industry of choice for Apprentices. We received the ‘Education & Industry Partnership Award’ for our successful partnership with the University College Birmingham as part of our QED Management Trainee Programme. We also won ‘Best Use of Digital Media to Attract Talent’ for our creative website and social media platforms.

Customer feedback is incredibly important to us at QHotels, and we're delighted to say that excellent customer feedback from over 22,000 people has led to us being named Number One Large Group from VenueVerdict for six consecutive years - showing that our clients are actively recommending us, time after time.
QHotels has ended the second quarter of 2017 on a high as 11 of our venues were awarded VenueVerdict's Gold Standard Accreditation, equalling the highest ever number of quarterly accreditations.
